Don't Let This Happen!!!

First off, I know I haven't posted anything in a long time. I have just been really busy with life at the moment. But I do have things to post I just need to find the extra hours it will take. But this is something that I feel very strongly about and do not want to see it happen. So I was looking around the Internet and I saw this article http://a-list.msn.com/default.aspx?cp-searchtext=Dora%20the%20Explorer%20 about a Dora makeover on MSN. Now if you know MaKenna then you know that she LOVES Dora. So I looked over the article and they are going to totally change Dora. Since she will grow up all her interests will be shopping, boys, and all the things that I don't MaKenna being. Of course I know that when MaKenna is a teenager she will be into those things, but I don't want one of her role models to tell her that's all there is at that age. Dora right now is a smart, fun, adventurous girl. So what are they saying, that once you hit a certain age all that goes out the window and you become a popular, fashion seeking dumb girl who doesn't care of about the world or people around her? I just can't support this type change. It breaks my heart that little children have no one to look up to, to show them that there is so much more in life. This world is full of so much fun and adventure, there is no need to exposed little girls to a lifestyle that they will never find happiness in. So I really never do this, but there is a petition and I hoping that you will please sign it and we can hopefully stop this horrible change. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Dora can't grow up, just that she should stay the same girl and still go on adventures, she should become something that matters in this world and show little children that they can become what ever they want.
